Treasure Beach doesn’t have a restaurant strip. What it has is a handful of genuinely good places scattered across four coves, plus your villa’s own kitchen — and for most guests, the villa kitchen ends up doing more of the work than any restaurant does. Here’s an honest rundown of both.

At Butterfly Hill, meals are prepared by our own kitchen staff and included as part of a staffed stay — this is the single biggest difference between a villa holiday here and a hotel one. Breakfast is typically ackee and saltfish, fried or boiled dumplings, fresh fruit off the property, and Blue Mountain coffee. Dinners lean on what’s landed that morning at Frenchman’s Bay — snapper, lobster in season, jerk chicken done properly over pimento wood if you ask for it. Guests tell us this is often the best food of the whole trip, and it’s one less thing to plan around each evening.

If you have dietary restrictions or just strong opinions about breakfast, tell the staff on arrival. They’re used to adjusting.

The best-known restaurant in Treasure Beach, right on Calabash Bay. Casual, right on the sand, known for fish and pizza in the same breath — an odd combination that works. It’s the place most visitors end up at least once, and a good choice for a group where not everyone wants the same thing.

The restaurant at Jake’s Hotel, also on Calabash Bay, a step up in price and setting from Jack Sprat. Good for a proper dinner out — reserve ahead in high season, it fills up.

Scattered around the four coves are smaller, family-run kitchens and roadside jerk stands that don’t have websites or reliable hours — ask our staff, who know who’s cooking and who isn’t on any given day. This is genuinely one of the better ways to eat well here: word of mouth beats any listing.

Don’t plan on eating out every night. Treasure Beach has maybe half a dozen real dining options total, spread across coves that are a short drive apart, and several close early or are seasonal. Most villa guests eat in most nights by choice, not necessity — the food is that good, and it’s already paid for. Save eating out for one or two nights, and let the kitchen handle the rest.
